Recruiting for a full time and a part time position in our Costa coffee shops at UHCW. Opening hours for our store range between the hours of 06.30am - 20.30pm.

We are looking to recruit between the hours of 12.30pm-20.30pm with flexibility to cover day shifts and also a vacancy between the hours of 07.30am-15.30pm with flexibility to cover any alternate shifts.

ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors.

As a retail barista you will work in any one of our Retail Coffee Shop Outlets based at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire. The role includes the following :

• Serve beverages and hot food items to customers in a polite and courteous manner and to brand standards.
• To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, Food Safety and Personal Hygiene.
• To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/ equipment immediately.
• Reconcile customer purchases using electronic till and process payments by cash or card.
• Monitor and record temperatures of prepared food in line with food hygiene legislation.
• Monitor and re-stock pre-packed food and beverage points.
• Clean and re-stock food and beverage vending machines.
• Clear tables of used crockery and cutlery and the make tables ready for use by other customers.
• Assist with the washing and cleaning of crockery, cutlery, utensils and equipment.
• Complete routine cleaning of customer, food serving and food preparation areas of the retail coffee shop outlets to maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Empty waste bins within retail outlets and remove sacks of waste to collection points

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 37.5 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (required)
• Barista or Hospitality: 1 year (required)
