We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Admin Support to join the Health in Mind team based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The post holder will provide a comprehensive reception/administrative service to the Health in Mind Team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and professionals and any visitors to the department.
The successful candidate will be working in a very active and busy environment and applicants must be self-motivated. You must also have excellent organisational and communication skills.
Reception duties, meeting and greeting families and visitors, taking telephone calls and enquiries, responding in a professional manner in line with data confidentiality procedures.
Deal with queries from service users, including consultants, GPs, patients and their representatives either face to face or via the telephone in a professional manner that is consistent with legislation policies and procedures including data protection and confidentiality, sourcing any related information that might help deal with the query. Taking accurate written messages and passing more complex queries on to the relevant staff.
To be able to use word processing packages and Microsoft Office to produce various documents e.g. letters, tables etc.
Daily use of outlook for communication (sending/receiving e-mails), as well as booking and checking of meeting rooms and equipment booking.
Perform routine clerical duties e.g. filing, photocopying, production of letters, reports and other similar documents to specific formats using appropriate software packages and office equipment. Ad-hoc production of notices for the office using appropriate software.
