At JSP we pride ourselves on the quality of the service we offer with a client centred approach respecting the individuality of each case and each person.

We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individual to support a man with a brain injury in the Eastwood area of Nottingham.

You will support him with day-to-day care regime and rehabilitation programme to promote his quality of life and independence, both at home and in the community. Training and supervision will be given. You will be joining a well-established care team that provide quality holistic care.

This post includes evening, weekend shifts and occasional sleep-in duties.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems
  • Liaise with and support the family as required
  • Assist the client with personal care as needed
  • Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
  • Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate

About you:

Essential

  • Mental and physical stamina.
  • Availability and capability to work hours in rota.
  • Ability to work constructively alongside another Support Worker when on shift.
  • Physical capability to move and handle client.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Experience of working with a person with cerebral palsy
  • Experience of working with clients in their own homes.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.

Qualified staff assess clients' needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.

JSP are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, however, JSP oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
