DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• undertake the manual handling, distribution and monitoring of materials in a bulk storage and warehouse environment.
• assist with the unloading of vehicles and the checking-in of stock. Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
• be responsible for picking specified items from storage or warehouses and prepare them for shipment.
• pick and pack products which includes unboxing, labelling, re-boxing and stacking products on pallets.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures
• Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
• Ok to work on a 14:00 -22:00 fixed shift

A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or equivalent will be well-received.
